Everyone has a vision of where they want to go but needs to start somewhere, even if that somewhere isn’t technically the Point A to the hopeful Point B. One way to encourage, improve and retain talented people is to give them opportunities to go beyond their job description, making a unique career path that otherwise might just be in the weeds.
